Kenneth L. Trotter, 77, of Bloomington formerly of Leroy, passed away at 5:20 P.M. on August 29, 2011 at his residence.
He was born October 16, 1933 the son of Wendell and Lillian Shoemaker Trotter, Ken served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, he married Janet McConnell in 1952, she survives him.
Kenneth is also surviving are three daughters Debra (Steve) Jeakins of Normal, IL, Cheryl Trotter of Bloomington, IL and Teresa (Rob) Scheiderer of Tucson, AZ.
He was preceded in death by one son Tom Trotter and his parents.
Ken worked at the HOW in Leroy as well as Montgomery Wards in Bloomington and for many years as a sales manager at Jeakins Appliance and TV. He was currently working for Wackenhut Security as a security Guard part time. He was a member of the Bloomington Moose Club and enjoyed golfing, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be a private family memorial at a later date. East Lawn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Central Illinois in Kens
name.
Ken will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
