Michael Joseph Scornavacco Jr

Born on April 10, 1985 in Hoffman Estates, IL, son of Michael Joseph Sr and Sally Ann Bristol Scornavacco. He married Samantha Lynn Garrett on December 14, 2013 in Bloomington, IL, and shared over 18 years together.

Surviving are his wife, Sam and their 9-year old daughter, Mallory, both of Normal; his mother, Sally Scornavacco of Normal; two nieces; one nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mike also leaves behind his dog, Cali, whom he affectionately called "Cali Bear."

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Sr in 2021.

Mike was a 2003 graduate of Normal Community High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Illinois State University in 2007.

Mike worked in retail sales and management for over two decades in the Bloomington-Normal area.

He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He also enjoyed playing softball and sand volleyball but most of all, he cherished his time with his wife and daughter; a favorite activity was attending Cornbelters games together. Mike fully embraced being a girl dad and wore it as a badge of honor.

His memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, with Rev. David Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Tuesday (following the service).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Custodial Account for Education for Mallory established at Chase Bank.
