She married the love of her life, Jesse “Jack” Roberts in Downs at the United Methodist Church on March 16, 1966.
Through the years Myra worked at the Tri-Valley High School cafeteria, was manager of the Green Gables Country Stores, and then managed the Atrium Boutique at BroMenn Medical Center. In addition to her outside employment, she was a wonderful, hardworking farm wife and mother.
Surviving are her loving spouse of 55 years: Jack; children: April (Bobby) Brown, Jesse (Mary) Roberts, and Todd (Deana) Roberts, all of Downs; grandchildren: Michael Kletz of Bloomington, Brittany and Marissa Roberts of Downs, Joey Brown of Downs, Shelly Blessing-Krause of Bloomington, Sherry Blessing
of East Peoria; and sisters: Barb (Wayne) Williams of Bloomington, and Beverly (Mike) Gould of LeRoy.
Her parents and one sister, Patricia Flurer preceded her in death.
Over the years, Myra and her husband welcomed many extended family members. She was a second mom to many including the Wagner kids: Mark, Joni and Todd, Lisa Brown, Lydia and Pitu Velasco. She was also a wonderful cook and hosted many family holiday celebrations. Myra enjoyed family vacations
to Lake of the Ozarks, Anna Maria Islands, and Sarasota/Bradenton beaches in Florida. She was very proud to be married to the love of her life for 55 years. Myra fought multiple health issues for well over 10 years, but throughout it all she remained incredibly determined, strong, and beautiful.
