

Patsy Ann Hughart, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by her family. Known for her loving but fierce spirit, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to those she loved, Patsy devoted her life to caring for others and creating a welcoming home filled with laughter, food, and lasting memories.
Patsy was born on February 19, 1935 in Streator, Illinois. She treasured family first, is remembered for her kindness, wisdom, and the Slovak traditions she passed down through the generations. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will carry forward her stories, recipes, and the lessons she taught about love, patience, and hope.
Patsy is survived by Valerie Hughart-Phipps, Patricia Hughart, Verne (Jennifer) Hughart, and Scott (Katie) Hughart, her grandchildren Daniel Hughart, Elizabeth (Nick Kolo) Smith, Kira Hughart, Erinne Smith, Alyssa Hughart, Sophia Boudreau, and Kylin Hughart. And her great-grandchildren Reagan Anderson and Lennox Kolo. She is also survived by her sisters Dorothy Leaming, Donna Loebach, Mary Heinz, and Cheryl Metcalf, brother Daniel (Judy) Dougherty, and many nieces and nephews. Along with her extended family and close friends who were blessed by her presence.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Anne Dougherty, infant sister Judith Ann, brother Patrick Dougherty, brothers-in-law Lee Leaming, Don Loebach, Max Heinz, and Lester Metcalf, and son-in-law Shawn Phipps.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
