

He was born August 6, 1929 in Niantic, IL to Charles O. and D. Leone Lamb. He married Susan B. Adermann November 15, 1952 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Assumption, IL.
Dick worked Road Construction his entire life, was a member IUOE Local 965 working in Decatur, Bloomington and Wateska retiring in 1991.
Richard was a prince of man, devoted husband, great father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife Susan; children: Catherine (Charles) Bischoff of Bloomington, Patricia (Leo) Hermes of Heyworth, Marty (Gerry) Brogla of Normal, Mary (Louis) Kirin of Loda, Judy (Clint) Martens of Heyworth, Jennifer Gordon of Bloomington, Joseph Lamb of Heyworth; son-in-law: Roland Himes of Hillard, OH, 2 brothers: William and Steve Lamb; 2 sisters: Kaye Mentz and Charlotte Richardson; 28 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Carla Lamb Himes; great-grandchildren: Isabella Hermes; two sisters: Beverly Davidson and Jane Harrington; brother: Charles Lamb.
Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm when a Rosary service will be held Sunday January 19, 2014 at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd. Bloomington, IL 61704. The funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday January 20, 2014 at Epiphany Roman Catholic Church in Normal. Monsignor Eric S. Powell will officiate. Interment will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Assumption, IL.
