Bob was born January 28, 1928 in Homer, to Earl and Lilian Morgan Rutledge. He first married Gwen Sprouls; she preceded him in death in 1967. He later married Loretta Hamblin; she preceded him in death in 2011.
Also preceding him in death are his parents, and a sister, Florence Hester.
Survivng are 2 sons, Daniel (Evelyn) Rutledge and David Rutledge; 2 step-daughters, Mary Hardwick and Amy Tolson; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. A memorial dinner will be held at a later date at the Bloomington Moose.
Bob was active in the community; participating in the Moose, Elks, and Masons. He served his country in the Army Reserve.
