

Ronald R. Hoeft, 71, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 7:32 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at St. Mary Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL.
He was born December 9, 1939 in Bloomington, son of Roy Albert and Linda Bertha Arndt Hoeft. He married Marcia K. Hobart on May 29, 1959 in Normal.
Surviving are his wife of Mount Vernon; two daughters, Melissa (Will) Neise of Fontana, CA and Rhonda (fiance’ Greg Campbell) Seibert of Mount Vernon; two grandsons, Zachary and Jeffery Neise of Fontana, CA and one brother, Dave (Gail) Hoeft of Downs.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Sons of the AMVETS. He was also of the Methodist faith.
He was employed by the GROWMARK systems, where he worked many years in McLean and Mason counties. After a total of 45 years of employment and several management positions, he retired in 2003, last working for Southern FS in Marion, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, where visitation will be 1 ½ hours prior to services. Prior visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. The Rev. Randy Perry will officiate. Entombment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Bloomington.
