

Rosie was born May 18, 1942, in Kalamazoo, Mich., the daughter of Irvin and Rose Weber White. Don White, the brother of Irvin, adopted and raised Rosie from infancy after Irvin died in France during World War II. Rosalie Married Doug Melton on July 30, 1960 in Lewistown, IL.
Rosie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, and their three children, Cathleen (Terry) Thoennes, Bloomington; Jennifer (Tim) Grusy, Gridley; and Robert Melton, Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her brother, Irvin, Kingman, Ariz.; her sister, Christine (Bill) Gibbs, Lewistown; and her brother, Marc (Ree), Canton.
Her parents and brother, Robert, preceded her in death.
Rosie had a talent for art. She enjoyed doing pencil sketches of her grandkids. Her children and grandchildren were a very important part of her life. She loved them all and enjoyed being with them.
There will be a celebration of her life for her family and friends at a later date.
Per Rosie’s wishes, cremation has been accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to honor Rosie’s love for children.
