A celebration of life gathering will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Lexington, 108 S. Cedar St., Lexington. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Military honors will follow the funeral at Lexington Park.
Survivors include his daughter, Gloria Welch; grandson, Bradley (Devon) Welch; six great-grandchildren; and his family at Barker Motors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Cecilia Powell; wife, Pat Powell; and son, Ronnie Powell.
