Scott Douglas Harper

Scott Douglas Harper, 41, of Merrian Woods, Mo, formerly of Normal, passed away at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Mo on December 4, 2014. Scott was born on September 4, 1973 in Champaign, IL the son of Douglas (Sharyn) Harper of Wentzville, MO and Ilene (Glenn) Marquis of Merrian Woods, MO.

Scott is survived by his Mother and Father, daughter Taylor Rose Harper of Bloomington, brother Brent (Necole) Harper of Chandler, AZ, and Grandmother “Oma” Rosetta H. Schluter of Gifford, IL and 3 nieces, Madison, Alexis, and Isabella. Scott is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Scott was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather “Opa” William J. Schluter of Gifford, IL and both of his Paternal Grandparents, Charles “Harp” and Myra Harper of South Carolina.

Scott owned Sharper Automotive in Bloomington and later became a telecommunications technician. His hobbies included RC Aircraft (Remote Control), which he built and flew. He also enjoyed NASCAR and was able to fix or repair almost anything which was broken. Scott’s major interest was Taylor Rose. She was his whole world.

Visitation will be on Monday December 8, 2014 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
