He was born on October 23, 1917 in Galesburg, son of Balazs and Rose Thyzes Csikos. He married Evelyn Streiber, whom preceded him in death. He later married Marion Beck Fojtik on January 24, 2002. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Judy (Fred) Schuerg of Bloomington; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one brother, John (Carol) Csikos of San Antonio, TX.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Hickle; one son, William Csikos; two sisters and four brothers.
Steve worked as a truck driver, retiring in 1976 from Artim Trucking in Gary, IN.
Private graveside services will be held at North-Meadowtown Cemetery in New Port Richie, FL. Cremation rites have been accorded and arrangements have been entrusted to East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington.
