

Steven M. Boitnott, 61, of Towanda, formerly of Carlock, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011 in Normal.
He was born December 28, 1949 in Bloomington, son of Lloyd and Marjorie Clark Boitnott. He married Bonnie Campbell on January 20, 1970 in Normal.
Surviving are one son, Greg (Amanda) Boitnott of Normal and one daughter, Christi (Chad) Barker of Kearney, MO and five grandchildren, Collin & Cassidy Barker and Emma, Ellie & Carlie Boitnott. Also surviving are two sisters, Sharon (Dick) Haas of Leroy and Doreen Schroeder of Mahomet and one brother, Roger (Sherry) Boitnott of Carlock.
Steve spent 20 years as an area farmer and seed rep for Pioneer Seed Co. in the Carlock area. Later, he worked at Stoller Case IH in Minonk as a sales representative of farm equipment for 20 years.
He was a member of Carlock Christian Church, where he was a former elder.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, where visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m .on Thursday. Additional visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday before services. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
