Virginia M. Broughton, 87, of Lincoln, IL, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
She was born June 19, 1923 in Lincoln, daughter of Lawrence and Anna Katherine Rozanski Hagan. She married Richard W. Broughton on June 25, 1945. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2005. She was also preceded in death by one son, Richard L. Broughton; one daughter, Jill Broughton and one granddaughter, Kara Broughton.
Surviving are one daughter, Judy (Greg Hrehovcsik) Luckhart of Colorado and one grandson, Collin Luckhart of Naperville, IL.
Ginny was a wonderful mother and a beloved grandmother. She enjoyed golfing and was a great cook. She was also a member and volunteer at the Elks Country Club and Emblem Club, both in Lincoln.
The family will be having a private memorial celebration in Colorado in the fall. Cremation rites have been accorded. East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington is in charge of arrangements.
