Bill took great pride in the appearance of his yard and landscaping. After his retirement he found enjoyment working part-time in the lawn and garden department at Walmart in Normal, where he made many great friends.
Bill liked to watch the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and black and white westerns. He also enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling and attending live events with his family. His greatest honor was being called “PaPa”. Bill’s grandchildren were his pride and joy and could always put a smile on his face. His favorite pastime was watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play softball and baseball. He looked forward to any quality time spent with his family.
His loved ones will fondly remember Bill’s incredible sense of humor, quick wit, and his ability to make friends anywhere he went.
His memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 1, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Towanda, where visitation will begin at 4:00 pm. Cremation rites have been accorded by East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington.
