

Agnes A. Davis, 95 of Bloomington died Monday, December 14, 2015 in her residence with her family at her side. She was born January 23, 1920 in Bloomington to James L. Blair and Pearl O. Rader Blair. She was a stay at home mother and an 80 year member of the First Church of God. She loved attending any function at her church and crocheting and sewing, making blankets and stockings for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Sue Baxter (Jack), Eva Livingston (Faron) all of Bloomington and Laila Rissler (Don) of Brazil; two sons, James R. “Jim” Davis and Paul R. Davis (Sonda) all of Bloomington; a sister, Janet DeFord of Poland, IN; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Riggs and Margaret Kern; a brother-in-law, Donald Davis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William “Jap” Davis; two brothers who died in infancy; four sisters, Jean Randall, Lois Barriger, Marie Wright and a sister who died in infancy; a daughter-in-law, Linda Davis; and three brothers-in-law, Rex DeFord, Emery Randall, Fred Barriger and Hubert Wright.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the First Church of God, 1144 Deer Run, Ellettsville, with Reverend David Dittman officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday December 17, 2015 form 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 700 W Gourley Pike and one hour prior to services in the church.
