She was born on March 12, 1936, in Bloomington to Glen Sullivan and Eva Downing.
She was a longtime employee of Classic Bowling Lanes and a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Swango; son, Kent and wife Kathy Swango; grandson, Kevin Swango; step-grandson, Brandon Panganiban; and sister, Sue and husband Bud Bales, all of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kevin Swango; and a sister, Betty Shrader.
Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel in Bloomington. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
