

Barbara Joan Bayne, 86 of Bloomington died Thursday evening in I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born October 25, 1928 in Bloomington to Perry Elliott and Alma B. Minks Elliott. She was retired from RCA.
Survivors include a son, Jim Bayne and his wife Pam of Stinesville; a daughter, Teresa Wampler and her husband Bryan of Florence, MS; a sister, Jane Hackler and her husband Bob of Frankfort, IN; two grandchildren, James W. Bayne and his wife Sarah and Bryan J. Wampler and his wife Nikki; four great grandchildren, Connor and Caitlyn Bayne, Alanna Marcum and Reagan Wampler; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Rodney Bayne who died June 27, 1982; an infant daughter, Rikkie Lynn Bayne; a sister, Jean Robinson; and a brother, Russell Elliott.
Barbara’s life revolved around her church, Turning Point Apostolic Church where she had been a member for over 50 years, during which time she had been the organist, a Sunday school teacher and the bookkeeper.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 12:00 PM in Turning Point Apostolic Church, 210 W. Vine Street, Ellettsville, with Pastor Ron Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 4, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 700 W. Gourley Pike.
