
Bonita Louise “Bonnie” Trisler, age 92, of Bloomington, died Sunday at I.U. Health, Bloomington Hospital. Born March 14, 1919 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Chandos Houston and Pearlie Mae (Bales) Houston Naugle. She was a homemaker and had worked many years ago for Sarkes Tarzian, R.C.A. and Indiana University. She was a long-time and faithful member of McDoel Baptist Church. She enjoyed growing and viewing flowers. She was an avid reader and used to write little stories for her children when they were younger. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.
She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, H. Alvin Trisler, whom she married on September 5, 1939; two daughters, Judith Kaye Trisler, of Bedford and Constance Shotts, of Charlotte, North Carolina; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Janet Trisler, of Anderson, Indiana; two grandchildren, Chantelle Petchul, and her husband, Martin and Alex Trisler and one great-grandchild, Shannan Petchul. She was preceded in death by one brother, Hugo Houston.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel with Rev. Harold Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.
