

David Brent "Cheese" McWilliams, 70, passed away after a short term battle with lung cancer on November 9, 2013 at his home in Orlando, Florida. He is survived by his wife Brenda Kay (Cox), daughters, Kimberly McWilliams of Florida and Kelly Kay Sipes (son-in-law Andy Sipes) of Heltonville, IN and sons Kevin Brent McWilliams (daughter-in-law Shelly Sowders McWilliams) of Noblesville, IN and Kip David McWilliams (daughter-in-law Melissa Fadley McWilliams) of Ft. Wayne, IN. He was the grandfather of three wonderful children, Curtiss Lee Malicoat, Jr., Jamie Kay Sipes, and Jesse Brent Sipes along with his first great-grandchild, Lexie Kay, to arrive this month. He was preceded in death by his parents Iva T. King (step father James King) and Everett David McWilliams (step mother Thelma McWilliams), and also a sister Betty Lou Warner.
Born and raised in Columbus, Indiana, he was a graduate of Columbus North High School in 1961. He was an auto parts business man working at "Robertson Auto Parts" in Columbus then moving to Bloomington in 1965. Owning his own business at "Big Red Auto Parts" and later working at "Big A Auto Parts". He moved to Florida in 1995 where he held the position of security guard at Walt Disney World in Orlando, retiring in 2005.
A Memorial service will be held, following his cremation, on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404.
