

David Anthony Stremming, age 57, of Bloomington, died Monday at his residence. Born March 21, 1956 in Vincennes, he was the son of Maurice L. and Conna Mae (VanLue) Stremming. He graduated from BHS North in 1974 where he played football and wrestled. He worked for many years as the Assistant Plant Manager for the City of Bloomington at Blucher Poole wastewater treatment facility. He last worked as a dispatcher for Consolidated Freightways. He loved hunting, fishing and attended his grandchildrens’ sporting events. He also loved to spoil his grandchildren by giving them candy every chance he could, which was almost daily. He had attended the United Pentecostal Church of Highland Village.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Carrie Stremming, of Bloomington; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon and Reuben Vandeventer and Shanda and Jared Taylor, all of Bloomington, five grandchildren, Landon Stremming, Jacob Stremming, Mason Taylor, Hailey Vandeventer and Hannah Vandeventer; one sister and brother-in-law, Staretta and Richard Kelley, of Springville and his former wife and mother of his children, Tammy (Dyer) Jeffress, of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Conna Mae (VanLue) Leydier and his step-father, Marcel Louis Leydier.
The funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:30 P.M. at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel with Rev. Jeff VanLue officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 12 Noon until 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
