

Edward Eugene Bell, 73, of Bloomington, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on August 29, 2016. Ed was born on May 19, 1943 in Bloomington and was the son of Mike and Roxie Mae(Porter)Bell.
Ed married Bonnie Sue Love on January 31, 1964. He was a 50 year employee of Indiana University working as a foreman in the plumbing division. He retired in 2008.
Ed was an avid golfer and also won the Arnold Schwarzenegger Weight Lifting competition in Indianapolis. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge and Govenor of the Moose Ch. 1081 for three years. He was also a member of the National Guard.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie, his son Eddie B. (wife Kathy) Bell and his daughter Renee Eads, two brothers and their wives: David (Rachel)Bell of Selmer, TN, Jack(Charlotte)Bell of Ellettsville and his sister and her husband Beverly and James Cantrell of Ormond Beach, FL. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Dustin Bell, Zack Eads and Dustin Haleman and two great-grandchildren: Michael Bell and Kamryn Bell.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Roxie, son-in-law Timothy Eads, brother Mikey and his wife Donna and his sister-in-law Debbie Bell.
Visitation for Ed will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Russell Shields officiating in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
