Grace Deloris "Dodie" White

Grace “Dodie” Delores White of Bloomington, passed away on January 10, 2017 in I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. She was the daughter of Roy and Bonnie(Anderson)Sparks, born on February 20, 1938 in Solsberry, Indiana.

Dodie married Ron White in Bloomington on September 30, 1955. He passed away in 1996.

Dodie was a homemaker but also worked at Cook, Inc. until her retirement in 1999. She always put her family first above anything else and was an avid I.U. basketball fan.

Dodie attended the 11th St. Faith Assembly Pentecostal Church in Bloomington.

Dodie is survived by her three children: Debbie(husband Marty)Thompson, Don White and Ron, Jr.(wife Tammy)White. She is also survived by her sister Helen May, 5 grandchildren: Jodee Cool, Bobby Stines, Matt Thompson, Kateland White and Dylan White, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ron and four sisters: Velma Flake, Lorene Fishel, Mary McQueary and Martha Walls.

A private family service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 in the Pentecostal Faith Assembly Church, Bloomington, with Brother Michael Douglas officiating.

Burial will be in Solsberry Cemetery.
