Joan E. Johnson Burt

Joan lived in Gary, IN from 1952-1985 then moved to Bloomington, IN. She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time at her church, volunteering at the Community Kitchen and with the Girl Scouts, camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Joan is survived by her son, Paul Burt of Bloomington, IN; her three daughters, Debra Burt of San Francisco, CA, Diane (Stevan) Cooper of Colorado Springs, CO, Janet (Jeff) Hughes of Woodinville, WA; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Burt, and a brother, Marvin Johnson.

Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m.Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
