

She was born on November 28, 1924 in Bloomington and was the daughter of James Edward and Virgie Mason Crawford.
Katie loved her job, many friends and associates while working at the Indiana University Alumni Association for twenty years. Katie especially loved her many cats over the years as well as collecting antiques. Special to her was her large collection of teddy bears.
Characteristic of the special person she was, Katie provided donations to many unknowing persons and organizations. Kindest of all was her lifelong contribution to the First Presbyterian Church and various animal associations.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Alice and Ruth. Also preceding her in death were her two husbands; Robert Waldon and Harry Flick. A special loss to her was her beloved son Robert L. Waldon.
She is survived by her step daughter Janet Ferguson of Ellettsville, two sisters; Mary Parker of Bloomington and Emmabelle Shields of Greenwood. Also surviving are grandchildren; David Myers of Tennessee, Todd Myers of Ellettsville and Amber Cadick of Terre Haute, great-grandchildren; Hope and Jonathon Myers of Tennessee and Ben and Clark Cadick of Terre Haute. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Home Instead Inc. and Hospice of Indiana, Bloomington, for their caring and understanding during her lengthy illness.
Friends may call on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, may 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. also in the funeral home. Entombment in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bloomington Humane Society and Hospice of Bloomington.
