Mary Ruth Morgan, age 91, of Bloomington passed away Monday (08/17/2020) at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born January 31, 1929 in Chatham, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of David Edmond Morgan, Sr. and Dealah Irene (Mullen) Morgan. Mary retired as a Tester with RCA after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Adams Street Chapel. She was a “direct line” for those requesting prayer. She lived her whole life to go to heaven.
Mary is survived by one sister, Evelyn Sawyer, of Nashville, Tennessee, several nieces and nephews and several great- nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David Edmond Morgan, Jr. and Edward Curtis Morgan, four sisters, Georgia Belle Jones, Eula Orean Crawford, Carrie Haynes and Barbara Mahalis Deckard and life-long friend, Alma Stanton.
Mary Ruth will be missed by her extended family and the Stanton family who considered her to be a sister and aunt. A special thanks to Bobbie and Bill Clendening for their tender loving care of Mary Ruth.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens on Friday at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Casper Young officiating. Burial will follow the service. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel; 700 W. Gourley Pike.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Adams Street Chapel.
