

Nellie L. Clark, age 83, of Spencer, died Thursday evening at her residence. Born August 12, 1929 in Bainbridge, Ohio, she was the daughter of Henry and Maude Marie (Shoemaker) Wilson. She retired as a cook at an I.U. fraternity house. She started her cooking career at the Canyon Inn in McCormick’s Creek State Park where she worked with her mother and later worked at sorority houses. She loved going to her church, Mt. Olivet Christian Church, fishing and camping.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert L. Clark, whom she married on July 1, 1953, of Spencer; her daughter, Rosetta L. Clark, of Gosport, one sister, Alice Fender, of Bloomington and one grand-dog, Sammie Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Gary L. Hash, one brother, Sam Wilson and three sisters, Ruth Sowder, Betty Jean Wilson and Laura Wilson.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Olivet Christian Church with Rev. Bill Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Chambersville Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Monday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
