

Norma Jean Courter Hill, 92, of Bloomington died Wednesday January 18, 2017 in Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center. She was born September 8, 1924 in Bloomington to Herschel Courter and Eva Lena Finch Courter. She had worked at Sarkes Tarzian and I.U. Halls of Residence.
Survivors include five daughters, Shirley Hiestand Bowman of Arvada, CO, Donna Hiestand Middleton and her husband Gary of Ellettsville, Holly Hill of Bloomington, Linda Hill of Bloomington, and Rhea Hill of San Antonio, TX; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a sister in law, Jeanne Courter of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents ; her husband Hollis Eugene Hill; a brother, Carl L. Courter; and two sons in law, Carl Bowman and Jerry Coleman.
She was a member of Bloomington Free Methodist Church; she enjoyed traveling, gardening and her many cats throughout the years.
Graveside Services are scheduled for Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Valhalla Memory Gardens, 310 N. Johnson Street, with Pastor Les Rovenstine officiating.
Norma’s family would like to thank the staff of RBBHCC for their extraordinary care and compassion shown to Norma and her family throughout the last 5 years.
