

Ronald Eugene Fenwick, 71, of Bloomington died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in Brown County Health and Living. He was born June 25, 1946 in Kewanee, IL to Martin Gabriel Fenwick and Virginia Willadean Lee Fenwick.
Survivors include his wife of over 49 years, Joan Sloan Fenwick of Bloomington; two sons, Ben and Jeremy Fenwick both of Bloomington; three sisters, Jeanette (husband Roger) Brickman of Quincy, IL, Darlene (husband Ron) Billiett of Sterling, IL and Eva (husband Shawn) O’Laughlin of Hopkins, MN; two brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Fenwick of Chicago, IL and Marty Fenwick of Kewanee, IL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald served his country during the Viet Nam era in the U.S. Air Force. Memberships include The American Legion, Burton Woolery Post # 18, SCORE, and BPE. He worked several places as an Electronics Technician and was able to travel extensively for his work, he retired from Harmon-Becker in 2009. He enjoyed flying and was a private pilot; he was an avid wood worker and liked spending time on a computer.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 700 W. Gourley Pike. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with his friend Tim Terry officiating; burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Military Honors by the Monroe County Honor Guard.
