
BLOOMINGTON — Rosemary Blackwell of Bloomington, passed away in Stonecroft Health Campus in the early morning of April 9, 2017. She was born in Bloomington, the daughter of Mose and Velma (Goin)Glasgow on January 30, 1925. Rosemary was an artist for many years, painting portraits and landscapes in oil and pastels. She also taught painting to many willing students over the years. Rosemary is survived by her two children: Sherry Wilson and James Reed Davis, five sisters and one brother: Alice Hare, Margaret(husband Harold)Weaver, Joe(wife Judy)Glasgow, Susie(husband Bud)Hammack, Linda(husband J.D.)Jackson, and Brenda(Malcom)Deckard. She is also survived by two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, daughters-in-law: Sharon, Alice and Pat. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, two brothers: Don and Johnny Glasgow and one sister: Emogene Davidson. Visitation for Rosemary will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
