

Sabrina Mae Burton, age 51, of Ellettsville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday at her home. Born July 7, 1960 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of William “Wig” and Wanda (Kale) Frye of Ellettsville. She graduated from Edgewood High School, Class of 1978 and from Indiana State University, Class of 1983. While at ISU, she was a member of the National Cheerleaders Championship Team. Sabrina pursued several career paths before dedicating her life as a homemaker. She had many interests over the years and was gifted in pursuing such talents as antiquing, auctioneering, home/interior design, floral arranging and artistic expression.
She married Gary Burton in 2002 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and he survives. Other survivors include her daughters, Ashley Copas and Alie Abrell, both of Ellettsville, her parents, of Ellettsville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda (husband, Tim) Adams, of Ellettsville and Vickie Frye, of Ellettsville; one brother and sister-in-law, William (wife, Brenda) Frye, of Shelbyville and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Maggie Kale, of Ellettsville and Alva and Wreatha Frye of Stinesville and several aunts and uncles.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church with her brother, Pastor William Frye officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M.and from 12 Noon to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the church.
Sabrina had a zest for both living and enjoying her many family members and friends. She put all her energies into everything she pursued and always excelled in her efforts. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
