

Alexander L. Suto, a resident of Boca Raton, Florida, died on December 13, 2010. Mr. Suto was born on October 10, 1916 at Homestead, Pa., a suburb of Pittsburg, Pa. Mr. Suto is predeceased in death by his wife of 52 years, Juliette Margiotti Suto. They were married at the Basilica of St. Peter in Rome, Italy on October 25, 1949. Mr. Suto did his undergraduate work at the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his BS degree and attended law school at the University of Pittsburg where he earned his JD degree. Upon graduation, he practiced law as a trial lawyer in Pittsburg, Pa for 20 years. After practicing law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. Suto moved to Florida and was admitted to the Florida Bar where he practiced law until the time of his death. He was also a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania and Florida, and a Florida Board Certified Tax Lawyer. While practicing law in Pennsylvania, Mr. Suto was admitted to the United States Supreme Court in 1972, where he tried two cases, and was a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, The American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, all United States District Courts, US Court of Appeals, 3rd Circuit, and the US Tax Court. In Florida, Mr. Suto was admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court, to all Circuit and Appellate Courts, the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the US Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits of Florida. He was a member of the American Arbitration Association, Trial Lawyer’s Association of Pennsylvania and Florida, the Trial Lawyer’s Association of Financial Planners, Inc., Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. Mr. Suto was a member of Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club, a Premiere member of the Boca Raton Resort, and St. Lucy’s Catholic Church in Highland Beach. During WW II, Mr. Suto was a combat pilot in the USAF and completed a tour of duty with the 8th Air Force in England. Upon completion of his tour of Duty Mr. Suto was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, a certificate of Valor, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 2 Bronze Service Stars, as well as a Diploma from the French government for services rendered in the liberation of France. Mr. Suto is survived by two sisters, Ethel Rogers and Margaret Bobo and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday, December 17, 2010 at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church in Highland Beach. Entombment will follow at the Boca Raton Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy are made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements were made under Babione Funeral Home.
