Arthur grew up in New Jersey and had a successful career in the insurance field after graduating from Rutgers with a Business degree. He proudly served his country in the Army Reserve.
In his teen years, he was a ham radio operator. He also enjoyed playing golf and pool, fishing, and was an expert guitar player. He played rhythm guitar as a founding member of The Bandits, a rock and roll band akin to the Beatles. Live music, the crossword puzzle in his daily newspaper, and poker were constants throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie, a fellow Parrothead, his daughter, Tracey Murphy and her husband John, and his sister Patricia Luftman.
Arthur will be sadly missed and remembered by his family and friends.
