Carol Lorraine Sweeney

September 2, 1953 – September 10, 2025

Carol Lorraine Sweeney passed to our Lord on September 10, 2025, peacefully with her faithful husband Ron by her side. Carol was born on September 2, 1953, to Robert and Julia White, and was raised in Pompano Beach. She attended Pompano Beach High School and unknowingly walked the same halls as her future husband Ron Sweeney. Carol and Ron met in 1971, and were married in 1975. Ron and Carol raised their children in Boca Raton where Carol worked as a dental hygienist but spent most of her career working in the Palm Beach County school system in many capacities where she made lifelong friendships. For the last years of her life, she bravely fought cancer with an inspiring doggedness and determination to make the most of her days. Despite the medical appointments and exhausting treatments, she made time to visit her family, whom she loved dearly. Some of her greatest joys were spending time with her grandchildren.

Carol will be remembered by all for her love, kindness, and generosity. She is preceded in death by her mother (Julia White), father (Robert White), and sister (Kathy White). She is survived by her brother Jeffrey White (Josephine), her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Ron, children Crystal (Greg Groger) and Justin (Stacey), and her grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Babione Funeral Home, located at 10060 Calle Comercio Drive, Boca Raton, Florida, on September 23, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at the same venue on the same day, from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
