Gavin Y. Wilson, 85, of Boca Raton, FL died at home February 26, 2017 following a brief illness. He was born in Tacoma, WA on May 24, 1931 to Andrew and Janet Wilson. He received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle. He later completed his MBA. He spent four years serving in the US Army in Spokane, WA. During his time in Spokane, he met Patricia Deming of Fairview, MT. They married in 1955. They left Spokane for San Jose, CA where he began his career with IBM. He retired in 1986 and enjoyed a long retirement, sharing time between homes in Boca Raton and Port Orchard, WA.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Pat in 2013. He is survived by his children Janet (Gary) Pinkas, Tom Wilson, Andy Wilson and Laura (Martin) Breen and his grandchildren Jonathan Pinkas, TJ and Mark Wilson and Scott, Margaret and Daniel Breen.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 3 2017 at 5pm at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton FL 33432. A service will begin at 6pm.
Donations may be made in his honor to the Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center at FAU.
