Root (Flaxman) Geraldine born in Chicago, IL to John Francis and Genevieve Hayes on June 26, 1918. She was preceded in death by her loving husbands Nate Root in 2004 and David H. Flaxman in 1970. She was the youngest of four beautiful and bright Irish sisters, remembered fondly as the Hayes Girls: Mae Lucille, Angela and Elizabeth. She spent most of her life living in Highland Park, IL and Deerfield, IL and moved to Boca Raton, FL in 2007. She was known, loved and admired not only for her beauty and style but also for her sharp wit and incisive humor that captivated all who knew her. She is survived by daughters Nancie Flaxman and Donna (Donald) Baumgartner and granddaughter Jessica Reed. She will be greatly missed by her many adoring nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and her devoted, loving caregiver Monica White. A Visitation will take place on Sunday January 4th 2015 from 2 – 4 pm at the Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton FL 33432 561-395-8787.
