

October 25, 1944 – November 8, 2011. Glory Jean Gelo was a native of Shirley- Warren, Southampton, England and was educated at Regent’s School for girls in Southampton. Glory was employed for several years as a receptionist instructor and trainee assistant for major hotel chain in England. In 1969 she was recruited by the overseas development administration of Britain to go to Singapore to train students in hotel and catering management. In early 1972, glory returned to England and then accepted a position in St. Vincent, West Indies to teach at the government technical college. The first week of 1973 Glory met the love of her life, Salvatore Gelo and they were married November 1, 1975. They later started export company, Caribbean Pharmaceuticals, Inc and ran this company until selling the business a few years ago. Glory is survived by her loving husband, Salvatore; her sister Sue Kesby(Reggie) of England, her brother- in-;laws Joe(Helen)Gelo and Val (Dale Middleton) Gelo, sister-in-law Tina McHugh ( Frank Brown) of Greensboro, N.C as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply. Family and friends will gather from 9-10 am, Friday, November 11, 2011 at Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Comercio Drive, Boca Raton, FL 33428 with a graveside service to follow at 11:15am at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
