

Isabel was born on April 17, 1922 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to Louis Martelli and Maria Zangari Martelli.
Isabel grew up with her three brothers, Domenick, Nick, and Frank in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She eventually met and married the love of her life, Nicholas Chiera. Isabel was married for 43 wonderful years. The family eventually settled in White Plains, NY then moved to Boca Raton, Florida. Isabel was an amazing mother, cook, and homemaker raising 4 beautiful children. She is survived by her loving children Rose Ann and (Edward) Frey of Boynton Beach, Florida Vincent and (Amy) Chiera of Parkland, Louis and (Kathy) Chiera of Coral Springs and Nick and (Susan) Chiera of Parkland. She is loved and adored by her 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
If you ever had the chance to sample any of Isabel's home cooking, you know that she was a truly amazing cook and baker. Her world famous chicken soup, fried meatballs, Sunday sauce, and homemade cakes and biscotti will continue to be enjoyed as a result of her culinary lessons passed down to her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Chiera Family Foundation which helps kids and young adults who are battling cancer. Donations can be made at www.chierafamilyfoundation.org.
