Jason Michael Oechsle passed away at his home in Boca Raton, FL on the morning of January 17, 2022. He was 47 years old. Jason grew up in New Hampshire where he was a top 10 graduate of Exeter Area High School, class of 1993. He then graduated from Cornell University where he majored in English Literature. He is survived by his wife Denise, daughter Katelyn, parents Susan and Edward Oechsle of Center Valley, PA, and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jason was an avid reader, writer and sports enthusiast. He was a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. In 1997, Jason moved to Florida, and took his love of New England sports with him. It was in Florida that he pursued his passion for automobiles. Jason was a car guy. He loved watching car racing, working on cars and then selling them. After many years in the auto business he opened his own shop. His clients quickly became his friends and as a result, he received glowing reviews from them.
As much as Jason loved cars, the thing he loved the most was being a dad. Nothing meant more to him than his daughter Katelyn, and she truly was his proudest achievement. She was the one who brought the most joy to him in his life. She actually thought his “dad jokes” were hilarious, loved riding rollercoasters with him, was very impressed with his breakfast making skills, and loved watching movies and shows with him.
Jason will be remembered by all for his unique sense of humor, quick wit, big smile and shining eyes. Those are the things that his family and friends will never forget. Jason left us far too soon. We can learn from and take comfort in the words of Lao Tzu, “The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long.”
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in Jason’s name. A private service will be held at a later date.
