John grew up in Jersey City, NJ. He enlisted and served for 4 years in the USAF, after which he made his way south, ultimately retiring to Boca Raton.
His career in sales was spent in auto-related fields, sales and marketing technology support for automotive retailers.
He and his wife of 39 years, Karen, shared a wonderful life of travel, great friends, and a deep love of their family and his most treasured daughter Allison & granddaughter Sydney Sullenberger.
He is also survived by his siblings, Joan Fiore, Ron (Carol Ann) Kaminski, plus his extended and bonus family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws scattered across the US.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Sophie Kaminski, sister Barbara Oehme, brothers-in-law William Oehme, Joseph Fiore, and Richard Ahearn.
Private services will be set for a later date in Florida. Burial and services will take place in Massachusetts.
In lieu of flowers or remembrances, the family suggests donations in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or TrustBridge Hospice, Palmetto Park Rd in Boca Raton.
