Joy Margaret "Joyce" Leserra

Joy Margaret "Joyce" Leserra, age 90, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, August 9, 2015. Joyce was born in Oklahoma. She was happily married to her husband, Joe, for 54 years. Joyce was dedicated to family; a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother. She was also a favorite aunt among her nieces and nephews. The wife of a strawberry farmer, Joyce loved to collect all things strawberry. Joyce was a dedicated Catholic, who lived her Christian faith daily. Known by her family as Gran or Grannie, she was beloved by all. She was always ready to help anyone who needed a hand. Joyce loved to crochet beautiful pieces of intricate lace. She was a dedicated homemaker, a hard worker and a lovely, gracious lady. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Joyce is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Donnie Allison, and grandchildren, Pam, Kenny, Ronald, and Donald; son and daughter-in-law, John and Rita Leserra, and grandchildren, Katie and John; and son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Nayla Leserra, and grandchildren, Lacey and Melissa. Joyce has 14 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Babione Funeral Home, 10600 Calle Commercio Dr, Boca Raton, FL, on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Trinity Oaks Nursing Home, 820 Klumac Road, Salisbury, NC, 28144 for the wonderful care they gave Joyce.
