Joyce Fanelli

Mom passed peacefully on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Delray Medical Hospital, her body tired but her spirit strong. Born on May 9, 1941, in Kenilworth, NJ, she was the daughter of Elmina Coppola and Anthony Degatano. She married the love of her life, Nicholas, in 1963 and this was the beginning of their 58-year journey through life year together until her beloved Nicky passed away on February 25, 2021.

Despite losing her leg, Joyce was, in no way, kept from traveling the world or just getting into the car and going for an adventure. From Hong Kong to Canada to tailgating at a Miami Dolphins game, Joyce was always there with a big smile, enjoying life.

Joyce was most proud of her " "Boys", Frank & Nicholas Fanelli, and her grandsons Nicholas, Samuel, and James Fanelli. Her greatest joy was to be around her family, eating, telling stories, teaching them to be the finest of people, and often guiding them with the simplest message... "There is no excuse for bad manners".

Her extraordinary strength, her Kindness, sense of humor & her smile will be so deeply missed.
