Karen Ann Wittmeier of Parkland, Florida passed away on August 8, 2024 after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. She was 61 years old.
Karen is survived by her husband Jordan S. Wittmeier of 36 years, her son Jordan 33, daughter Christina 29 and her son JP 26.
Karen was born August 6, 1963 in Summit NJ. She lived in Westfield, New Jersey her entire childhood and early adult years post university until moving to Southeast Florida in 1986. She was a proud graduate of Villanova University (’85) where she studied economics and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was fervent supporter of Villanova which made March madness always entertaining for the entire family. We all knew who she picked in her bracket to win the championship.
Karen loved being a caring mother to Jordan, Christina and JP. Always there when the children needed support but more importantly always in the background. Karen was a devoted wife encouraging and supporting Jordan S. in all aspects of their marriage through good times and challenging times.
Karen was also a tremendous friend to many. She loved gatherings of family and friends. In particular she enjoyed creating and cooking incredible meals. Karen absolutely loved the beach with many memories of family vacations to Kiawah Island, South Carolina over the years. She also had a tremendous passion for fitness participating in numerous fundraising competitions with her circle of close friends from the fitness community.
Karen was a devout Catholic. Often supporting charitable events, in particular Mary Help of Christians and St. Thomas Aquinas schools.
We are extremely grateful for having Karen in our lives as she taught so many of us what true love is. Our hearts are forever broken with her passing.
