on May 13, 1957 outside of St. Louis, MO. He died on October 26, 2017 in west Boca. Kevin is survived by his brother David Ross Holler, his niece Stephanie, his nephews Christopher and Vladislav and many cousins.
Kevin’ parents moved the family to St. Petersburg, Florida as a boy. Kevin graduated from Northeast High School in 1975 and from the University of Florida in June of 1979. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture. He passed all the requirements in Florida to become a licensed landscape architect in 1981.
His first position out of college was with Thornborough and Siebold PA, Boca Raton.
After the partnership dissolved, Kevin decided to work as a self-employed landscape architect. For the rest of his career, over 30 years, he worked out of his home designing.
In his twenties, Kevin took a sailboat cruise in the Caribbean and traveled to Mexico. In his forties he traveled to Oregon. Kevin had a love of the Gulf coast of Florida which he returned to over and over, often with his brother, exploring.
Kevin was inquisitive and interesting to talk to. He was generous with his time and his knowledge. Although not drawn to any particular political ideology, he didn't like government intrusion and couldn't believe the lack of availability of affordable healthcare compared to other developed nations. He was an unabashed environmentalist.
He enjoyed the garden he created in the yard of his Boca Raton house, introducing and nurturing panoply of plants ranging from citrus to the exotic Ylang Ylang. Kevin was civic-minded serving on the public library board of directors and teaching adults how to read.
Kevin had a warm smile which lit up his face and staccato laugh that reverberated into the air. He was a good man, a loyal family member and friend. We are sad to lose him.
