Marion C. LeBel

Born April 23, 1924 in Chicago, IL, Marion was the only child of Thomas and Ann (Martini) Richardson, but she was surrounded by cousins and family that she kept close her entire life. During high school she dated the love of her life, Alfred LeBel. They were married November 17, 1945 after he returned from the Navy in WWII. They did not have any children of their own, but their nieces and nephews received their love in abundance.

Marion enjoyed a 38 year career with Illinois Bell Company. When she retired, she and Al moved to a farm in Northern Illinois they had purchased 10 years earlier. It just took one harsh winter until they were off to Florida. They settled in Boca where Marion was Board President of the Woodhaven Community as well as being active on the Social Committee. When not busy with her board activities Marion loved vacationing and taking cruises with Alfred.

After Alfred’s passing Marion filled her days by spending time with friends and family and staying active at the local YMCA. Marion’s faith was the foundation of how she lived her life. A St Joan of Arc Parishioner for 30 years, Marion loved attending weekly mass and then having breakfast with her parish friends.

Throughout her life Marion gave love and support to her nieces and nephews. She took pride in their successes and became the family Matriarch. She was honored and loved by all the lives she touched and will always be in their hearts.

Marion is survived by her Godchild, Thomas Martini, her loving cousin Sr Mary Catherine Martini, her nieces, Mary Martini and Julie Cummins and her nephews, Thomas Martini and Jeffrey Martini, along with the next generation who lovingly called her Aunt Marion. Marion was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Alfred LeBel.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.
