Nicholas Howard Ridgway

Nick Ridgway, a devoted father and grandfather, passed away on August 11th, 2012. He is survived by his three daughters, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Emily. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Natalie, Noah, Nicholas, Lilli and Chase.

He was born in Waterloo Ville, England on December 25th, 1950. He traveled to the United States in 1971, where he remained for the duration of his life. He devoted his life to taking care of his three daughters whom he loved so much. He started his own business in the early nineties and his love of carpentry showed in everything he built. He was an amazing craftsman who could transform any plain piece of wood into a work of art.

He was an extremely hard-working, kind-hearted, funny, wise and loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. The church always held a special place in his heart. When he wasn’t working he could be found tending to his garden, only flowering plants and trees allowed! He had a great love for animals and he cared deeply for his own pets as well as animals in need. In his memory we are asking for donations to be made to the United States Humane Society http://www.humanesociety.org/ or Save The Chimps http://www.savethechimps.org/ in lieu of flowers.
