Orlanda H Mendell

Age 91, of Delray Beach, FL, passed away on December 18, 2012, at Hospice of Palm Beach County. Orlanda was born in West Paterson, NJ and moved to Florida in 1994 with her husband, Harry, a retired Paterson, NJ firefighter. My Mom loved Florida. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Mendell in 2004. She is survived by her sister, Josephine Parisi, of Woodland Park, NJ and her children, Linda Haycock, Wanitta Mendell, and Paula Occhipintti all from Delray Beach. Her wonderful sons-in-law, David Haycock and Joseph Occhipintti, who she adored as her sons. Orlanda had three grandsons, and two granddaughters, David Haycock, Frank Occhipintti and Michael Occhipintti, Londalynn Ogden and Heatherly Branch, and she was known as GiGi to her four great-grandchildren, who adored her. Lindsay and Lea Ogden, and MorganLily and Harry Branch. Mom was retired from Prudential Insurance Co. My Mother was a lovely person and had a great sense of humor, and loved all the Holidays, please go on with all your Christmas and New Year celebrations, she would have wanted that. Services will be at Babione Funeral Home, Federal Hwy in Boca Raton, Memorial Service at Boca Mausoleum, 4th Ave. Boca Raton, FL. Repass to follow at Babione Funeral Home Friday morning, December 21 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Heart Association in Orlanda's name would be appreciated.
