Born on December 31, 1956, in Killarney, Ireland, to the late Daniel and Ann Healy, Pat grew up in Woodlawn Heights, New York City’s beloved “Little Ireland,” where the close-knit Irish-American community instilled in him a lifelong sense of family, faith, and generosity. He cherished his childhood there and carried the humor, loyalty, and strong community spirit of Woodlawn with him throughout his life, a neighborhood where everyone knew each other and friendships often lasted a lifetime.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, including service stationed in Germany, Pat later built a career as a dedicated fundraiser for Catholic causes, known for his genuine ability to connect with people and bring out their best qualities. In 1986, he had the profound honor of meeting Pope John Paul II, a highlight that deepened his commitment to faith and service. A devout Catholic, he attended Mass several times a week, finding strength and comfort in his faith.
Pat’s warmth, quick humor, and quiet strength made him a steady and reassuring presence for those around him. He loved golf, fishing, travel, and rooting passionately for his beloved New York Football Giants. On Christmas and other special occasions, he would always produce a good bottle of whiskey and insist on sharing a nightcap with everyone, a simple ritual that brought laughter, stories, and closeness to family and friends.
Pat was always eager to lend a hand, with a heartfelt desire to fix things for people. Though his efforts sometimes required calling in a professional afterward, which became a running family joke that only highlighted his eagerness to help.
Above all, he was a deeply devoted father and grandfather who cherished every moment with his children and grandson. He had a special gift for recognizing the strengths in those he loved—especially in his son Daniel, who has autism—and worked tirelessly to nurture and celebrate them.
Patrick is survived by his children, Lauren and Daniel, and his grandson, Timothy. He is also survived by his sisters, Ann Healy and Helen Crimmins; his brother, Donald (Kathy); his late brother, Sean Healy; his nieces, Megan Crimmins and Lauren Healy; and his nephew, Sean Crimmins.
A visitation will be held on March 20, 2026, at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat’s memory to an autism charity in honor of his son Daniel.
Patrick will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love, laughter, and quiet faith he shared so generously with everyone around him.
May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
