Preston Calvin Browning

Preston Calvin Browning of Boca Raton passed away on January 9, 2016. Preston was born on July 21, 1925 in Mars Hill, Maine. He joined the Marine Corp in 1943 and while stationed in Quantico, VA met his wife of 72 years, Mary Jean Sencindiver. Once out of the service he attended George Washington University and went to work for the Potomac Electric Power Company where he worked for 40 years. He retired with a home in Maine and Boca Raton, eventually settling in Boca Raton. Preston was involved in the Navy League in South Florida and he loved golfing with his friends. He was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

He was predeceased by his son, Robert P. Browning. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean and children, Karetta (Jerry), Lynn (David) and Steven (Kevin), His 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Neal), Richard (Suzie), Bibb (Stephen), Rob (Melissa) and Melissa (Michael) as well as 7 great-grandchildren, Patrick, Jackson, Campbell, Kate, Preston, Sophie and Parker.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 12 Noon on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Babione Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Interment will take place privately at South Florida National Cemetery.
