

Ron Fore, a devoted family man, United States Marine veteran, former police officer, and steady presence in the lives of countless loved ones, passed away on January 8th in Boca Raton, Florida, at the age of 73. Ron was survived by his wife Barbara Sozio (Boca Raton,Florida), son Michael Fore (Michigan) step children Joanna Sozio(Orlando, Florida), John Sozio and Gina Constantino (Boca Raton) and grandchildren Violet Sozio, Iris Sozio, Hazel Sozio, Olive Sozio and Kaitlin Fore.
Born on June 5th, 1952, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Ron grew up with a strong sense of duty and responsibility that would guide him throughout his life. He proudly served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War where he completed 2 tours of duty. Ron spent time at Camp LeJune before he was discharged from the Marines. Following his military career, Ron continued his dedication to community and public safety by serving as a police officer and school resource officer. Ron was a police officer in Detroit, Michigan before moving to North Miami, Florida where joined their police department as a police officer and school resource officer from 1980-1993. He enjoyed this work and continued serving the community when he worked in Miami Dade County Schools from 1994-2002 where he retired as a Lieutenant. Ron enjoyed working and being involved with his community. He also worked as a security guard at Nova Southeastern University and Advent Christian School where he made connections and formed relationships with the faculty, staff, students and parents.
Beyond his service, Ron was known for his love of his grandchildren. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them; from day to day errands to taking them on vacation up and down the East Coast of the United States. Ron could be seen picking them up from school in the car line or taking them to their after school activities. He was best known for not only getting them from place to place, but also making sure they were fed with an endless supply of snacks. His grandchildren and his family were his life, even up until his last hospital stay. He could be found cheering one of them on at sporting events, taking college classes, pick up and drop offs at the airport to just name a few.
Ron will be remembered for the life he lived in service to both country and community. If you knew Ron, you knew how much he valued his family and friends. There will never be another person out there like him. His legacy continues in the stories, lessons, and memories held close by family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A private family visitation will be held at Babione - Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremat, located at 1100 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432, on February 13, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
The funeral mass for friends and family will take place at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 370 SW 3rd St, Boca Raton, FL 33432, on February 13, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.
The committal will be held at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, FL 33449, on February 13, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
