

Silvio Epifano, 98, of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of Wellesley Massachusetts, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Silvio lived a long and full life, beginning in Castiglione a Casauria, Italy, born January 19, 1922. At 5 years old he, his mother and his sister came to America to join his father, who had established himself and built a home for his family in Wellesley. Silvio was educated in the Wellesley school system and then proceeded to Tufts University, earning a degree in Civil Engineering. World War II interrupted those college years, where he served for 4 years as a second lieutenant with the Marines.
With his college and military years behind him, he married Norma (Baldini) Epifano of Southborough, Massachusetts in 1948. They also settled in Wellesley and raised four daughters - Karen, Cathy, Kim and Amy. Silvio pursued a career in Residential Building. He embraced all aspects of the trade from architectural design to hammering the last nail. He built many beautiful homes in Wellesley and the surrounding communities. Norma and Silvio enjoyed their retirement years on Cape Cod and in Boca Raton.
Silvio was an intense family man, dedicated to hard work, integrity in all things and honesty. He loved the art of conversation and could debate for hours on end. He was smart, funny, articulate and mentally and physically strong. He was a talented athlete, always reminiscing about his high school and college football years. He also loved to play the piano, and in his youth, he was an accomplished accordion player.
Silvio is survived by his daughter Karen Epifano of Clinton Washington, daughter Kim Epifano and her partner Richard Kittle of Oakland California, daughter Amy Epifano Carlton and her husband Jack Carlton of Concord Massachusetts. He is also survived by two granddaughters - Jill Carlton and Jenna Carlton. He was predeceased by his daughter Cathy Epifano and his wife Norma Epifano.
He was a loving son to Antonio and Isabella Epifano and a loving brother to Domenica Epifano and Lydia Behrend.
A Private family service will be held on January 19, 2021, which would have been his 99th birthday. His love and wisdom will live forever.
